Who are the coaches?
We screen coaches for the following:
- Specialist in leadership effectiveness coaching - helping leaders achieve positive, long-term change in leadership behavior over time.
- Extensive experience coaching senior leaders (C-level, MD, VP, Director, etc).
- Experience holding senior leadership positions in organizations. Line management preferred. Fortune/FTSE 500 preferred.
- Client list of Fortune/FTSE 500 organizations.
- Advanced degree: MBA, MA, MS or Ph.D.
- Working independently or affiliated with a firm for at least 2+ years.
- Willing to provide references of senior leader coaching clients.
Many coaches have regularly proven their expertise in some of the large-scale, worldwide implementations that we support. We use them with some of the world's leading organizations, such as Agilent Technologies, Dell, and others. Many have worked with us through Keilty Goldsmith & Company, Alexcel, and other leading providers.
To participate in the referral service, coaches complete an application form and are then screened by us prior to being referred to a specific need.
Are you really connected to a coach in Istanbul?
Well, yes, two to be exact. And when we don't know coaches meeting your criteria, we find them, anywhere in the world. We have incredible reach. If we don't have a coach in our database that meets all your criteria we put word out to the 600 coaches in our database. Typically, within days we receive excellent bios to consider. If we can't find the right resource, it may not exist! | |
Are you as well resourced in the US as in the rest of the world?
CoachFinder is connected with coaches in every US state, as well as 35 countries worldwide. We fill almost every request we get. Recent requests:
- Haifa, Israel for a worldwide chip maker
- Cape Town, South Africa for consumer-products maker MNC
- Gotenberg, Sweden for a well-known pharmaceutical company
- Bangalore, India for a major US high tech firm
We get better with each request, too. Every search means more coaches join our database and are available for future requests.
What do I pay for this?
Once selected, you contract with and pay your selected coach directly. Requesting organizations do not pay for this service. Coaches do not pay us to be included in our reference database. Our operations are funded by coaches who reimburse us a percent of their work secured through CoachFinder.
What do coaches cost?
Coaches obviously come in a vast range of prices. Fees in the US typically range from $100 - $600 US per hour. Fees can also be a set price for a 6 month or 12 month engagement. CoachFinder will determine your budget, then recommend coaches at the price point that matches your budget.
Does using this service result in higher prices to me?
Using CoachFinder does not result in higher prices to you. In the coaching industry, referral fees are regularly exchanged between coaches and business development partners. For coaches, the fee is a marketing expense. Coaches love to coach and are generally less enthusiastic about marketing. So we help connect them to business. | |
Can I search your database on line? We have learned through experience that "do-it-yourself" referrals simply don't work well enough to satisfy clients or coaches. CoachFinder founder Brian Underhill, Ph.D., assembles proper background information from the client. He then recommends coaches based on his assessment of the specific needs of each client. How rapid is your response?
We recognize many coach requests need to be handled quickly. After discussing your needs (and possibly speaking with other key individuals), we furnish you with coach candidates in a week or less.
How are your recommendations unbiased?
Simple, we have plenty of coaches from which to make a selection -- and every coach we refer reimburses us the same amount.
Can your company manage our worldwide coaching operation?
While CoachFinder focuses on individual referrals, our roots originate from large-scale, worldwide coaching implementations. Go to Worldwide Management for details.
What happens after the referral?
You and your coach(es) contract directly with one another. You do not need to contract with us. While we stay out of the way, we do check in to verify the quality of our referral(s). |
